Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is a famous Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun as well as Beta Saajan. She began her acting career in 1990s. The character she played in Tezaab Anil Kapoor in the Tezaab film earned her an enormous amount of attention. In the following film, she starred in the film Dil with whom she shared the screen alongside Aamir Khan. A middle-class family was raised in Mumbai she was able to learn dance at an early age. As a young woman when she began to act, she had a difficult time as a majority of her films were flops. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success which led her to be one of the most prominent actresses within the Indian film business. After her wedding, she took one year off and then returned to entertainment. Dixit played an important role on Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit is nominated in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's received 8. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. The actress is known for her work in the field of social service as well.
